Week Seven – DwS @G – Screenplays

AUTHOR/SCREENWRITER COMMENT:
About a year ago I thought it might be interesting to publishmyDancing with Spies @Goddess work as a four-episode screenplay book, that is after having some success in international film festival screenwriting competitions. In any case, in contrast to the novel, the series’ screenplays let me reach further into the spy-thrillers genre, elevating the physical and visual nature of the story especially with Olga’s KGB skills. I also decided for the first three episodes to explore and stay in a more linear trajectory, beginning with Olga’s and William’s 1988-89 Cold War love affair in the Village in the ‘To Die For’ pilot.

Next, for episode two, I jumped twenty-five years into the future with ‘The 2014 Mission’, where William and Olga would at last meet once more. So, here I was hoping the audience would be asking, “Well what happened in those 25 years, and why didn’t they contact each other?”

Then I followed soon thereafter by exploring the Goddess Club and Dance Studio of Havana for Episode Three with my unique cast of characters.

Finally as to my choice for Episode Four, I had a lot of different ideas regarding where to start delving into the twenty-five years of silence as both Olga and William then had separate distinct lives. So, I chose the most dramatic and visually compelling moments I could think of.

Now please forgive me folks because I need some time to work on the new screenplay publication and catch up on some regular issues at my daytime job. And I do confess I probably won’t be posting on this Author Website Blog until 2026.

So conrades, have a fantastic Holiday Season! And see you all next year.
